Jay-Z is Rumored to Headline Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show

Rumor has it that Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show. According to Puck News, sources said that the 25-time Grammy Award winner has chosen himself to take the stage, as he is the founder of the entertainment company Roc Nation that produces and selects the halftime show’s performers.

The NFL and Roc Nation first formed a partnership in 2019, working together on the conference’s social justice initiatives and entertainment. The $5 million a year deal was renewed in 2024 for another five years.

For now, there has been no official announcement or confirmation by the NFL or Roc Nation. While there is no exact due date for the halftime show headliner announcement, in the past the performer would have been confirmed by now. Last year, Bad Bunny was confirmed to be the headliner on Sep. 28, 2025; Kendrick Lamar’s performance was announced Sep. 8, 2024, and Usher was announced as headliner on Sep. 24, 2023.

As always, there has been speculation about who could be this season’s headliner, with names like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and Harry Styles being popular predictions.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is currently touring, celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut studio album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of his sixth studio album Blueprint.

The JAŸ-Z30 Tour wraps up at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Oct. 23 and 24. If the rumor is true, the hip-hop singer will return to SoFi for the Super Bowl LXI on Feb. 14, 2027.
